Position Description
This person is an experienced Swimming Pool Service Technician. S/He will help drive Watercrafters' success by working as part of a team to provide a wide range of services to residential pool owners including: opening, repairing, maintaining, and winterizing backyard pools.Contemporary Watercrafters has been setting the standard for professional service and quality products for Montgomery County residential pool owners since 1982. Our Service Department is one of the best trained, highly skilled teams in the industry. We have immediate openings for experienced Pool Service Technicians to drive the company's success by working as part of our team to provide a wide range of services to residential pool owners.
Routine Service duties:
-Demonstrates courtesy, respect, friendliness, reliability and professionalism always.
-Perform complete pool openings and closings per company guidelines.
-Diagnose, repair and maintain customers residential pool equipment consisting of but not limited to, D.E., cartridge, sand filters, pool pumps both standard and variable speed, heater, automation and chlorinator.
-Accurately document services performed using resources and technology provided.
-Demonstrate knowledge and be comfortable communicating with customer about their pool equipment.
-This person will be supervising seasonal staff and tech-trainees and should be able to mentor and train co-workers on an ongoing basis
-Stay informed on pool-related service features by attending vendor and trade show training.
-Be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized, appropriately stocked company vehicle.
-Responsible for maintaining accurate and proper levels of inventory on the vehicle.
-Adhere to Watercrafters company policies and procedures
-Perform other projects and duties as required/assigned.
Qualifications
-1-3 years of technical field service industry experience and water chemistry knowledge.
-Ability to travel locally and spend 90% of the time outside in all weather conditions performing field work.
-Be able to lift 50 pounds.
-Have valid driver’s license with good driving record.
-Must speak English fluently.
-Good oral and written communication skills.
-Basic math skills
-Have good mechanical and problem solving skills.
-Own and maintain an appropriate set of hand tools.
-Have a positive disposition and professional appearance.
-Possess the tact and knowledge necessary to deal with customers and co-workers effectively
-Have EXCELLENT customer service skills
Watercrafters is committed to continuing education and provides extensive industry training to all its staff. All team members, regardless of experience, are expected to participate in continuing education opportunities offered at Watercrafters.
Weekend hours are required during the busy Spring and Fall.
